New Bridger Tracker for Windows 5.7 and Online 5.5.0.1

Bridger Expands ID Verification Services with Release of Windows® 5.7 and Online 5.5.0.1

Bridger and ChoicePoint Partner to Offer USA PATRIOT Act Compliance Solutions

Bozeman, MT—October 1, 2003—Bridger Systems, Inc., a leader in OFAC and USA Patriot Act compliance software, announces the imminent release of Bridger Tracker for Windows 5.7 and Bridger Tracker Online 5.5.0.1. Bridger and ChoicePoint have teamed up for this release to offer Bridger customers an outstanding ID verification service in both the latest Windows and Online versions of Bridger Tracker.

The most exciting new feature of the new Windows and Online release is the ChoicePoint ID verification service. As a result of Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act, financial institutions are now required to establish and verify the identity of customers as part of an overall Customer Information Program (CIP). ChoicePoint’s rich data adds a powerful new option to Bridger Tracker customers.

Bridger is now accepting orders for the new ChoicePoint service. See ChoicePoint ID Verification Service for more information. In order to use the ChoicePoint service, customers must upgrade to the latest versions of Bridger Tracker. The Windows version of the software will be available to customers on October 6. Online customers who have already been converted to Online 5.5 will be automatically converted to the new Online release the weekend of October 4. Online customers who have not yet updated to Online 5.5 must contact Bridger to schedule an update. Both versions of Bridger Tracker are also available to potential customers to trial at www.bridgertracker.com.

"Bridger always works hard to ensure that our customers have the tools they need to meet the USA PATRIOT Act compliance requirements,” said Michael Woodberry, Development Manager at Bridger Systems. “With this software release, we are offering customers even more options in order to satisfy both OFAC and USA PATRIOT Act compliance requirements.”

Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act requires that financial institutions have a CIP that includes collecting customers’ identifying documentation; verifying identity; and checking account and transaction information against specified government lists. Section 326 also requires that a record of the ID verification and government list check and the results of both are kept for five years after the account is opened. Bridger Tracker software performs checks on identity information; searches government data lists and customer-generated lists; and maintains records of those inquiries and their results for auditing purposes.
